Second city owls.

My daughter is living in Birmingham and we popped over to the second city to see her last weekend as it was Heritage Open Day.

Along with seeing the back t back houses in the centre of town, we saw lots of owls on our way round.

All over the city are owls decorated by artists in different patterns as part of the Big Hoot event.

Here are a few of those you can still see if you are quick, as the event ends on the 27th of this month.

There are 89 owls, so you are never too far from one to admire.

Some are full size, other smaller ones about 4ft tall called owlets were decorated by local school children.

Each owl is unique and they all show the fantastic creativity of the artists.

Priceless

Bluey

Not only that, I know I have a paper with owls that will be perfect for an owly LO.

Fantastic 'penguin' owl. I can't wait to see the layout you make.
