A day out in Kenilworth

As DD1 had the day off yesterday (her biology teacher was being trained) we decided to make the most of the lovely Autumn weather and have a day out together. Kenilworth castle was our destination, and we had a lot of fun together wandering around as it was so quiet, picking and eating the wild strawberries in the knot garden (naughty!) and enjoying the views from the ramparts.

A bargain lunch at Ikea followed, along with a wander about town, deciding what we will buy when i eventually get a job. I can't believe I've applied for 7 posts and not heard yet from any of them. Ho hum, it only needs for me to be successful in one application, so i just need to keep trying. I think i will have to sign on with a supply agency for the time being, if i continue to have no luck.

Must go, need to pick DS up from school, one thing i am enjoying about being off work is being a real Mum for a while!

Sounds like a good day out Ann - plus better weather than we had - it poured all day yesterday!
Nice being a real Mum isn't it!
Good for DD1 too to have a day with you.
Still crossing fingers for a job for you.

Lovely. Despite the need for study, I find myself looking forward to Friday mornings at home with DD - college doesn't want her until 2 on a Friday - I'll take that!
As for hearing from the Jobs..I hope you do. I recently applied for Assistant to the COmmunications Manager who answered to the Communications Director of an army charity. Not a word. No communications at all. Horrible isn't it.
