Off to the Lakes

It has been over 20 years since i last set foot in the Lake District, but Hannah is interested in an ecology course at the University there. They have an open day on Wednesday in Penrith, so North we are travelling ..... I can think of worse places to study! As it is such a trek (over 200 miles) and i don't feel like going there and back in one day, we are staying overnight in Carlisle, leaving tomorrow. I am hoping we can venture into the Lakes on Tuesday afternoon, as Hannah has never been there, sadly the weather forecast is dire (as ever!), so we'll have to look out the waterproofs. I don't think we will see any views like this one of Ullswater i found on the web.

Hannah is really excited at the thought of a night away, just me and her! She thinks it's going to be a holiday!

Have a great time Ann! My brother has a cottage on the edge of the Lake District - he and his wife (and dog) are great fell walkers.
It will be like a mini holiday.
Hope the course/Uni are right for Hannah - it would be a great place to study.
