The Weekend is here

and i made 2 pages last night!!!

For the first time in ages i had a go at the monthly challenge on the DoCrafts site, which was to use an ad or poster to inspire a LO.

I thought about stylish adverts, and Apple came to mind, so after Googling this i found this fab 1970s poster, which i thought would make a perfect sketch for a scrapbook page.
So here is my version of the page. Instead of the apple, i chose a pumpkin shape for the mat behind the photo, and i straightened my LO up a little.

The photos are of Katie carving the pumpkin last weekend, ready for Halloween.

I used Tim Holtz Alphabet masks for the title, Stampin' Up inks (Pumpkin!) and Shimmer mists in copper . The rest of the title was die cut using the Sizzix Rat a Tat font.

The pumpkin shape was drawn by hand and cut out using Basic Grey Archaic papers, and the journalling added by hand. the pumpkin stamp (so useful, from Unity) was added to the bottom corner, along with a piece of Imaginisce paper folded to look like ribbon.

Well, we are almost totally out of cash now, after 3 months unemployment nearly all our savings are gone, and if i don't hear too much from the Agency next week (only had 2 days work this week) I'll have to try and sign on with another one too.

That's a lovely layout. Better than the original ad in my view! You've put in so much detail it's amazing. Brilliant.

It's a beautiful LO, great take on the advert indeed. Great good luck with hte job hunt, it's horrid that savings have had to sustain you. I really hope it doesn't take too long to get back to where you wanna be.
