In only 4 hours we managed to visit the remains of the ancient Priory destroyed by Henry VIIIth, and re discovered by Time Team, Tudor alms houses that are so perfect that they were chosen to set the Shakespeare episode of Dr Who, our new cathedral built in the 1960s, and a time capsule of design at that time, and the old cathedral, used as a symbol of peace the world over..... and the World thinks that Coventry is simply a concrete jungle... you just have to look a little bit harder!
Baptistry Window Coventry Cathedral
St Michaels cathedral altar, destroyed on the night of the blitz, November 1941.
So next year in the early autumn take a look around your local area, you are sure to find lots of secret places to have a nose around.......And the really nice thing for me is I have lots of new photos to scrapbook.
