Half Term rolls round again.

..and I hope I get time to do some crafting. Yesterday was Katies 16th birthday, can't think where the time has gone, she was such a cute baby when she was born with a mop of very dark hair! Here she is at 2 wearing only her dads hat and her jellies in our back garden just after we moved into our house. Now she's almost an adult, my sister bought her a lottery ticket, I hope shes as lucky with it as another local recently, who scooped the huge Euromillios prize of over 100 million pounds!!

Her card is stamped using a Unity stamp onto Cosmo Cricket patterned paper. I paper pieced and layered the castle, also using a Martha Stewart punch to make the grass. The numbers (and a little bat in honour of it being October) were cut using Sizzix dies, and mounted onto little strips of acetate to bounce in front of the main image on the mantle piece. As a finishing touch I stitched using the WRMK Sew Easy kit and bakers twine.
