With the repeated playing of the National Anthem and the sight of the Union Jack being raised, crowds cheering for sports I've never watched before, more red white and blue on the streets again and we are only just over half way through these games.
The cheering on the beach today was so loud it reached us over a mile away as Ben Ainslie won yet another gold medal in the sailing.
Who would ever have predicted that we could be third in the medals table, with only the huge nations of China and the US above us?

I was a little sceptical as to whether we could pull off the Olympics but I'm so pleased to have been proved wrong!
We're definitely punching above our weight!
And it all makes me so proud!
