An Old Friend

As we are firmly both in middle age now, many of our friends are really old friends!
This description goes for our friend from church, Kevin, we have known him since we were all in our 20s, our children have grown up together, and he was Godparent to our eldest.

Yesterday was Kevin's 50th birthday, I remember us going out as a group for a curry for his 30th and I felt old then.....!
We went to his party last night and I got to thinking that the next set of parties we could go to might be retirement ones.
