Lavender Blue

On a visit to Hill Close Gardens in Warwick at the end of August we came across an enormous lavender hedge.  It had been planted either side of a path, which would normally make for a deliciously scented walk as you brushed the plants in passing.  This year however, the plants had overgrown the path, and as it was buzzing with bees, butterflies and other insects we dare not squeeze through for fear of being stung.
The plants made a beautiful image, and went perfectly with Katie's floral dress on this scrapbook page.

The flowers were made from Stampin' Up papers using an XCut die and given shape with an embossing tool.

I even managed to use up pretty supplies that had been floating around my craft bag for a while, resin flowers, Doodlebug alphabet stickers which I covered in glitter, sequins and fabric covered brads.

A real memory of summer.
