Easter Fun

It doesn't matter that the children are mostly grown up now, they still insist on an egg hunt at Easter every year.  Other traditions include baking nest cakes..

and receiving eggs from Thorntons, preferably with their names upon them.  I made the error of buying Hannah an egg that was sealed, so couldn't be opened in the shop for the addition of her name.  Suffice to say, she was most upset this morning.  Luckily, Grandma Joan arrived with named eggs for all three, phew!

All 4 grandparents joined us for a roast lamb dinner, mucked in with making the puddings and quiche (well, Grandmas anyway!) and played games of cards.

After lunch, we had the egg hunt. As it has been lovely and warm today, we used the garden.. making me realise we need to get out there next week before it all starts to really grow like mad!

Harry won, but he did share extra eggs (under duress!) with the girls.

Love how the kids even though they are now grown up still show enthusiasm for traditions. Looks like a fabulous weekend
