Daddy's Girls

I had this photo on the kitchen table, ready to scrapbook it, and Kev picked it up with a sad expression on his face.

"This was taken when the girls loved me," he said... the picture is over 16 years old and both girls are now in their twenties.

It's not that they don't love him, but when kids grow up they become a lot more stand-offish; especially from their dads. Such a pity, they were so affectionate with 'Daddy' when they were little.

Papers are Graphic 45 (Artisan and Time to Flourish), the banner is stamped (Anna Griffin) and cut out and I followed a sketch set on UKScrappers.

Ah bless - said 14 year old is still very affectionate which I love because he will often say "mum do you need a hug?" and I always say yes!

Aaaw, such a shame, but then they also will come around in a few more years and show him how much he means to them again... it is one of those cyclical things! Love the LO and the journalling.
