You Wait Ages....

...for a double layout, and then two come along within a month!

Earlier in the year I decided to have a new phone, and went for a smart phone... I know I am around 3 years behind the times, but I am middle aged you know;)

Every day on holiday I took a photo using a weather App (Instaweatherpro.) Once I got home I had a record of our holiday with the dates, places and weather printed on each square photo.

Great for a speedy, grid style scrapbook page or two to sum up the holiday.

The papers are by Teresa Collins, I cut out the block at the top and hinged it to put my journalling underneath.

It only occurred to me after making the layout that it's hybrid scrapping, and me a dyed-in-the-wool paper scrapper!  What is the world coming to?

I know, I know....

it's been almost a week since I posted, what is the world coming to?

Well, sad to say I was unwell at the weekend (so bad i had to miss my crop) and have been so busy catching up with work since missing Monday i haven't had time to stand still, never mind sit here and surf.
A very quick post, and an unusual LO for me as it uses a hybrid picture i altered using this site to make a fake magazine cover. The photo is of Hannah rehearsing for her A level drama performance (if you watched the 'When Romeo meets Juliet' on BBC 2 you might have seen her for all of 10 seconds in her audition, at the beginning (6 minutes in) of the first programme... I think she wasn't cast as we were on holiday for 3 weeks) Well enough plugging my own kids, she hates the LO as the photo is totally unposed, and therefore not liked!!! Katie was also involved backstage making props with the art department, but they seem to have been ignored by the cameras (much to her relief!!)

Papers are DCWV Latte, title stamped (Autumn Leaves) and added Glossy accents. Buttons punched usng MS punch and stitched onto page. All in all a very quick LO.

Can't see me switching to digi pages though!!

Another bloggy LO

I am not in work again today, which is probably a good thing as i've had a migraine since Wednesday night :( It was so bad yesterday that i fell asleep on the sofa when i got in from picking up the kids, and i failed to complete my photography assignment for the first time this week. The weather was so poor at the weekend i got nothing done, i planned to go out and take soem shots on Tuesday... rained again, and then yesterday was a washout with my bad head. I can still feel it now, despite taking whopping painkillers this morning.

Harry has gone off to Dol y Moch, a house in north Wales owned for years by the local authority (owned by Coventry LA for so long that even i did my Biology A level field trip there!!). I'm pleased to see that the weather has cheered up, he and Max have gone together, with a group of Year 6 students, so i'm sure they will have a fantastic time! I remember when i visited i was about 16, I had never seen mountains before, the Midlands and South of England where we holday are very flat. The surroundings to the house are stunning, i hope Harry is old enough to appreciate them!

A quick page today, made a week or so ago about this very blog! I used a screen shot from the day, and Cosmo Cricket papers, along with my lovely new border punch.

Template Trauma

Now I'm not normally fazed by IT tasks, but this weeks, courtesy of CJ really had me tearing my hair out!!! I finally managed to make a montage of the shots I took of Hannah at the weekend, but i'm amazed the keyboard survived the pounding it got in the attempt!!

Well I'm glad i did suceed in the end, as it made for a really quick scrapbook page, which meant i got to chat lots at tonights crop, and still got my LO finished!!

Journalling was all about my epic struggle with PSE!!!!

Wordle LO

Made a LO using this site http://wordle.net/ for the journalling. The photo is the portrait of harry and Max that i was really pleased with. LO is 8x8 for my sisters album, and the word cloud made it so quick to finish.

It won't replace handwritten journalling for me, but using this makes a change!
