The Last trip to the Orthodontist....

... for now that is. We have been going to the Orthodontist in town now for over 8 years, and Katie was at last signed off today. They have done a fab job on both the girls teeth (thank God for the NHS, I dread to think how much it would have cost if the state hadn't funded the treatment, and Hannah's teeth were especially wonky at 10years old). Harry unfortunately has far too many teeth for his mouth, so I think he will be referred soon too, but for now, we don't have to organise trips to the dentist with my Dad, as they are always during work time.
Talking of things health I've booked an eye test for Thursday, so I will having some new glasses before I start my new job... or maybe 2 pairs. When Katie looked a bit shocked as I said I might have 2 pairs I explained to her that as I have to wear them all the time (being extremely short sighted) I might want to ring the changes over the next 2 years, so why shouldn't I have 2 pairs... I wouldn't wear the same clothes for 2 years. Today's page is one I made last night for this weeks UKS challenge, using a sketch, things beginning with B, distressing and a bit of journalling, so not too tricky really.

The papers are really old K and Co (heavily embossed) and Basic Grey, I used BG chipboard letters for the title along with the Tim Holtz alpha again, and added crackle accents over the top. I like the way this has made the letters curl up, adding an even more distressed look to them. The border at the top is Martha Stewart, punched into Core'dinations Whitewash cardstock, and I added eyelets (not used these for ages) to the loops. Stamps are by Stampin' Up for a change. I used a stamping wheel with a grid design behind the title to add a bit of pattern to the plain cardstock, thanks to Traciedoodles for the loan of this.

The photos are of Dad (Harry snr.) and son (Harry jnr.) on the beach last year... I do recall joining in with this game of cricket, and as I'm not bad at games that involve hitting a ball, whacking it to within an inch of our chalet neighbour's ear who was snoozing peacefully in a deckchair until a whistling noise woke her.... No photos of this I'm afraid!!!

when you look at it that way, don't stop at just two pairs LOL. But I think you should change around a bit, it makes you feel good :) Loving the page.

I agree on the glasses front...I rely on my varifocals full time now & have built up quite a collection...."If you HAVE to have them, choose a pair in every colour"...that's my motto & I have a LO to prove it!!!!

Fab LO...love everything about it...so much attention to detail & I especially love the photo's of two generations having fun together!
