Nuneaton Crop

I went to my last crop before going on holiday today, and got really busy!!

I made 3 pages, one for each of the children's scrapbooks, and stitched on all of them. It was lovely to see my Warwickshire friends again, I had to miss the last crop as I was unwell on the day, but I really made up for it today.

Here's the last page I made.....using photos I took of Hannah (much to her disgust) as she was getting ready for her prom having her highlights done. My sister is an experienced a hairdresser, and she still tends to our locks despite being out of the business for the past 3 years now. To be honest I wouldn't trust anyone else to do my hair... and we are helping her to keep her skills going :)

I used the really cute Dear Lizzy range again (American Crafts), and as I was making the page I felt I wanted some clouds and sky at the top of my page. Not having any papers at the crop to cut these from I had an idea to make cloud shapes on some scrap cardstock, stick these temporarily to the top of the page and ink over them with a Cats Eye ink pad. Luckily it was fairly dry, so it gave me just the finish I was looking for. I stitched around the inside of the clouds to make them stand out a little more.

I do like going to crops where I don't have all my stash available, it makes me think a bit more about the pages and try out new ideas.

Well, this is the last week of term, roll on the holidays!!
