Golden Years

I made this page using a very old photo of my OH with his youngest brother and his Grandparents taken back in the 1970s in Scarborough.

The title came from the yellowy colour cast these old photos have, I chose not to correct it when i reprinted the image. I used Cosmo Cricket papers, cut the flower out using a template, and hand stitched the lace around the flower. Title letters were made using Tim Holtz alphabet masks and ink, cut out the letters once I had inked over the masks. I like this method as you end up with mostly patterned paper showing with a small inked border around the edge of them. Sunshine journalling block is a Unity stamp.

Have been out shopping with Hannah today, and starting to put together her supplies for Uni (she is going to Derby)... I think she will cost me dear!!

Gorgeous page Ann - love the lace especially.
Uni expenditure does get better (a little better anyway) - this year didn't think I'd have to buy much for DS but....he now has a double bed so needed new duvet and bedding - gave him our winter duvet (my hot flushes keep us warm!lol).
Sue xx
p.s. also gave him a wok as part of his 21st b'day present - it was actually appreciated too.
