Golden wedding

My Aunt and Uncle are currently abroad for the part of the winter in Australia (lucky them!!) and will be celebrating 50 years together soon. Mum asked me to make cards for the event, one for her and one for myself, so I thought I'd post them on here.

I'm not a big cardmaker, but I used the recent DoCrafts goody bag as it contained a lovely set of stamps, and papers, mini buttons, flowers and ribbons in yellow, so ideal for these cards, and any I have to make for the spring and Easter.

The frame on the first card was cut out using the Sizzix eclips, and I added a few gems to brighten it up a little. The second card is stamped, using a yellow Stampin' Up ink pad for the cake, and a brown Versafine for the stand and sentiment. A friend of mine at work gave me the stamp set ith the Anniversary greetings on, she had bought them for her wedding invitations, but found them too swirly for her tastes, lucky for me they were perfect for these cards.

I'm quite pleased with how they turned out, I usually put too much stuff on a card... maybe I need to make them two at a time to overcome my constant desire to add embellishments!
