Weekend crafting

As Kev was out yesterday on a course in Birmingham (part of his maths specialist teacher training ) I had a nice time scrapbooking in the morning, and playing with Decopatch in the afternoon.

Here's the page I made for this weeks challenge on UKS.
We had to use a technique taught by a friend, use fabric or stitch and use purple. Well, I combined the first two parts as Michelle from the Nuneaton crop showed me how to stitch a neat title on a page using a computer printed image, I changed the method slightly to use with stamps, and the result is a cute (and cheap!) title. The word Easter is cut using the Sizzix Eclips, as is the photo mat. The purple papers were from Stampeezee, picked up in the sale after Christmas, and in need of being used before I forgot I had them!!!

The jouurnalling spots were stamped (an idea I had seen in Scrapbook trends back in Feb 2010) using Unity stamps, and the dandelion cardstock is a sheet I picked up at a craft show last year. All in all a good page for using up stash in danger of languishing in my craft tote.

A busy week lies ahead, visitors from Warwick Uni, swimming with the kids, Ash Wednesday mass and a trip to a Hindu temple await. One thing you can't say about teaching is that it's boring!!!
