Exciting News

I had an e mail a few weeks ago saying that my scrapbook pages had been seen on the DoCrafts website, and asking me to contribute to the Creativity magazine as part of their Talent Spotting section :) The pages they liked were the ones I had made using the Portobello Road papers awhile back, a kit I loved so much that I used most of it and had to go out and buy more!

The papers they sent me were really different to the Portobello Road ones I love, here is one of the LOs i made for publication (Oooh, get me!)
Do Crafts set me a box of goodies from their Capsule collections in pink and blue.  Not my usual choice of papers, but I do think it's good to get outside your comfort zone once in a while!
A time was limited I went back to a design I made about 18 months ago using a set of 3 scalloped circle punches, folded over to make a banner style border.  I like the way it looks in blue.
The flowers are cut from the papers with a bit of added bling and I added a stitched border to the journalling block (cut with an X Cut die) and to the page overall.
I took the photos of Katie last year when she had only just had her hair cut short, she looks so like me (poor thing!)
I'll post some more from the magazine later in the week.
