Back to Derby

Although Hannah has completed her university course she has decided to stay up in Derby this year as her boyfriend finishes his.  So back we go today, and she will be looking for a job to keep the wolf from the door in the meantime.  Good news though, as she learned in the week she had achieved a 2:2 in Biology, so now we have 3 science graduates in our family!

At the start of the summer she took us to a great place called Revolucion de Cuba in the centre of the city. As it was a Sunday our favourite cafe The Kitchen was closed so we had a shared plate of tapas and gazed at the fabulous decor in the bar that had been a bank earlier in its life.  The retro menu was so lovely I couldn't resist 'borrowing' one to cut up for a scrapbook page!

Many of the 60's embellishments are from the menu including the PanAm style logo, olives, cocktails and Bacardi logo.  Hannah was of the opinion that this is one of her fave scrapbook layouts I've made for her... praise indeed!

That's a lovely layout (I was wondering when I looked at it how on earth you'd found 'Cuba' embellies)! and I love the cards below.

Know what you mean about teenage lads, have just been making DS his 15th b'day card today...

That is a wonderful LO Ann! I too was wondering where you found the embellies...the restaurant sounds lovely too.
Good luck to Hannah on finding a job.
The boy stayed in Bristol and is currently doing call centre work whilst looking for a better job...but at least he's working - things are so difficult for youngsters these days.
