Wild flower meadows

In Coventry, as the council has had to deal with more swingeing cuts, the city decided last year to turn some of the greens in the city into meadows.  This was in order to cut the number of times they need mowing (and save money).

My parents live on a quiet street with a green in front of the house, part of it has been left to grow wild, it does look lovely in June.

Beautiful cornflowers, poppies, daisies and buttercups.❁
