The women of Sheffield supported the war effort in heavy industry during both world wars.
It must have been incredibly tough for them making munitions using local steel.
I loved this monochrome backing paper and used the end of the kit I made in March.
The title and stamps come from a Heidi Swapp storytelling kit (Tough).

The Maxwells.
Whilst up in Sheffield, we took the chance to take quite a few family photos.
This one is made using a kit I put together to get me scrapping again.
The wood grain paper is by Docrafts, along with the yellow water colour stripes.
I added stickers from American Crafts sticker books, enamel dots, chipboard stars (Maggie Holmes Carousel) and Heidi Swapp stamps.

Party
A multi photo layout with the Maxwells out for Dad's 80th birthday.
Amy Tan papers again, quite a bit of stamping (Heidi Swapp) along with chipboard from one of her storytelling kits.
Title is a Thickers set, just getting to the end of these now.

PSV Cake.
Dad drove buses for almost all his working life, he got his PSV licence in London back in the 1960s.
We decided to have a cake for his 80th birthday made with the design of his driver's badge on the top.
More Amy Tan papers and a lovely ledger paper for the background. A Heidi Swapp stamp with Catherine Pooler inks completed the embellishments.

Surprise!
A layout for Dad's 80th birthday .
The family were all together in a lovely Italian restaurant in Sheffield back in March.
I used more of the Amy Tan papers for the page. The first of lots of Sheffield layouts. The title is an acrylic word by Heidi Swapp.

Whitby Abbey.
Another Box of Crayons layout. These two lovely photos were taken by Harry on a trip to Yorkshire a couple of years ago.
It was nice to have him with us as we got a few lovely photos.
The weather was lovely ( for October) as you can tell...and although the papers and embellishments are very random, I do like the page.
The journalling block is cut from the 6x8 paper pad. Third page in a day!

Halloween?
Catching up on scrapbooking old photos, I found these two taken in October 2017 just before Halloween.
The shop at Attingham Hall had this spooky seat for selfies, so we took advantage of it.
I do like Halloween stash, the colours are lovely. Especially in the Graphic 45 papers I used here.
I think the stamped image is a pharmacy advert by Stampers Anonymous. I cut it up into pieces and layered around the photos.

The Grand
A layout using very old K and Co stash to make this page about The Grand Hotel in Scarborough.
The photo through the window was taken at sunrise, as Scarborough is on the east coast, the sun comes up over the water; the sky looked glorious from our bed back in October.
The die cuts are from a set by Vicki Boutin and the title die cut using fun foam with a Tim Holtz XL die.
Plenty of stickers from the American Crafts and walnut drops by Nuvo completed the page.

Anne Bronte
While we were away in Scarborough I wanted to visit the grave of Anne Bronte. I noticed that there was a blue plaque on the wall of The Grand (where we were staying) saying that Anne had died at a house on the site of the hotel. She was only 29 when she died; all of the Bronte siblings died before their father, so sad for him.
I found an old set of Graphic 45 papers with a writer's hand on them, and used the 8x8 seasonal pad to cut out the emellishments.
Nuvo drops in copper completed the layout.
The title is a mix of stickers and chipboard Thickers. More Yorkshire pages later.
