My Birthday at last

Kev couldn't think what to get me for my birthday (back in April) this year, but we saw this Butler and Wilson necklace on TV, along with earrings and bracelet, and i fell in love with it. Sadly, by the time he went to order it, all the stock had gone, so we had to wait..... To be honest i'd almost forgotten about it, but today the lovely thing arrived!! I'm sitting here as i type in a grotty old T-shirt, scruffy skirt, hair all over the place, and the lovely necklace.... don't think i'm doing it justice somehow :) All this shows that all good things come to those who wait, just need the matching parts of the set now too!!

I did get around to doing some scrapbooking yesterday, but i used some old photos of the girls from last year when we were in Ireland for Easter. A very early and very cold Easter!!! I like the title on this page, i drew around some letters in the Zen garden kit (A TSV from last year) onto chocloate Core'dinations, cut them out, embossed and sanded them. The ribbon corner looks better in real life, as the glue wouldn't hold it on, so i ended up stitching it in place. I love the top photo where you can see the horizontal sleet and hail.... it was really freezing on that beach!! Compare that to the page on this post, this photo was taken the last time we were on the beach at Benone, back in August 2006.

Hi Ann, fab gift (well done Kev) and a lovely looking blog. Do you teach photography and beautifully presented blogs as well as science? I would be your pupil. Good luck with your return to work. Liz

Gorgeous present Ann - well worth waiting for!
Lovely LO too - even if it did make me shiver! You've really captured the cold/sleet etc.
