At home again...

after working for two days in a nice little Primary school in the south of Warwickshire.

Supply teaching certainly isn't easy, in Primary schools the teacher still delivers the lessons and marks the books, i even had to plan an afternoons activities (but as they were science they were in my comfort zone) but the children were lovely, and they did as they were asked.. a bit of a novelty for a secondary school teacher!

No phone call today though, so no work, so i have to go to the dole office to let them know I've worked 2 days (not sure why i can't do this over the phone..) as i can only sign off after 3 days work (considered full time).

Here's a recent LO, made at the Exhall crop.
I used photos taken back in the spring of Harry dressed up for Victorian day at school, printed in sepia.

As I am trying to make best use of my stash i used the Chocolate box Core'dinations cardstock, cut a bracket shape from a piece of die cut paper, and inserted a piece of the gorgeous Graphic 45 papers (Stampeezee) to make a vintage die cut. I then put this under the cardstock and sanded it to make the green appear on the right side. A line of stitches emphasised the sanding. The patterned paper was stuck onto the right side of the LO, a piece of lace pleated and stitched over the join, and the photos added. The title is part stamped (Doodlebug) and part sanded. Ifa at the crop had some clear Heidi Swapp letters, i glued these temporarily behind a piece of the card (gutted from behind the photo) and sanded again, cut them out and glued over the lace. The journalling stamps are Unity. I am pleased with this page, only at a crop would i have the time to play about with paper to achieve this effect.

Housework beckons today, after half term and two days work the house looks a little careworn!

Careworn - now that is a lovely way to describe your home after everyone's been in it for a week or so! Fab LO, just lovely techniques with the papers....and great pics of Harry doing the IKB!

Another great LO Ann.Love what you've achieved with the papers and fab photos of Harry.
Pleased you enjoyed your two days supply - fingers crossed more Primary School work comes your way - I know the work is hard but hopefully the "nicer" pupils make up for it!
