I tried to make this page more suitable for a boys page, so avoided the floral papers (It's one of the things I love about double sided papers, double the choice!) and went for the grid and stripes instead.
The paper isn't die cut, I drew a template and used this to cut the paper and the frame. The butterflies are stamped and cut out, I stitched them down the middle so the wings can be curled, giving them and the page a more 3D look.
The scallops are cut from the paper, and the trim is just glued around the edge of the LO. One of the interesting things about making a class is that you have to use most of the kit you are given... and that discipline made me do things (like the trim) I probably wouldn't have thought of before.
Well as i am now officially on holiday until the full time job starts, I will hopefully get some scrapbooking done.

Really, this is just fabulous - I'm with you on the double sided papers too, usually if I don't like side A, I always love side B :)
I really like how you've done the butterflies, gives then a real "pop"
I love your journaling with this one.
Love this LO Ann - as I only have the one boy I'm always pleased to see ideas for masculine pages.

Hi Just popped over from the SFAN class to say how much I love your pages - especially the one using flowers.
