A Vintage {no photo} page

All too often i think we don't scrap our memories as we have no photos to support them. I was challenged at a local crop to make a layout without photos, so i thought the story of my Dads evacuation during WW2 was a suitable subject. He was very young during the war, so i had to rely on the memories of his sister Joan. Even her memories are limited, as she is only 15 months older than my dad. Nevertheless, she did recall some key facts, and after a bit of searching on the internet ( i even found a 1930s map of London to include), and a look through my stash for some vintage ephemera, this is the LO i came up with. The background cardstock was altered using Tim Holtz Masks (barbed wire) ink, and cosmic shimmer mist in copper, papers are Anna Griffin, some ancient K&Co papers i bought about 5 years ago!! (Never chuck away old, good quality stash, it could always come in handy), and up to date Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday for the journalling block.

I am pleased with how the LO has turned out, and i think it will encourage me to scrap even the memories that have no pictures to support them.
