Attingham Park

On our way to Wales last Autumn, we stopped off at a National Trust house in Shropshire.

Both house and garden were beautiful, and as I took lots of photos, a double page was called for!

I used Studio Calico papers along with Simple Stories 'I Am' range.

View of Aber

We visited Aberystwyth last Autumn, and on our last day took a trip up the funicular railway to get a good view of the town.

It had rained early on, but cleared by the time we got up to to cliff top, leaving us great views of the town.

I made my page using Studio Calico, Maggie Holmes and Anna Griffin (Seafarer) papers.

The title is die cut using a sizzix die and navy corrugated card.

WooooHoooo

..it's the weekend, it's warming up, and I manged to get all my work for school done (OK, by 10.30 pm last night) so have 2 days to myself! Shopping this morning for Hannahs 6th form prom dress, and then cropping tomorrow in Nuneaton.

I made this page following a class from the recent cybercrop on UKS, i only did one LO this time around (and sadly for my team-mates didn't even get to upload it on time) but the point for me is to make a different page. The frame is stitched, and I did make quite a few changes to the original class. Papers are October Afternoon (ledger) and MME. I used butterfly masks and cosmic shimmer mist for the background, along with a large dotty Unity stamp. Title is stamped(Doodlebug) and hand cut using the Tim Holtz masks as a template. Fibres are again the Hobbycraft bargain ones. The butterflies are stamped and punched (Martha Stewart) and only glued in the middle so the wings sit proud of the page.

Harry took the photos at Kenilworth castle just before our 20th anniversary, and i think he did a really good job of them!!

Have a good weekend, whatever you are doing.

20 Years on.....

Twenty years ago today I switched from being a Miss to a Mrs... and that time seems to have gone in the blink of an eye!

We don't have much planned today, but are going out for a meal tonight (without kids!!)
Here is the card I made for Kevin, using mirror card, a Sizzix swirl die. embossing folders and a Unity stamp.

If you want to see what two fresh faced newly weds looked like on the day (and weren't a reader last year ) take a look here :)

.... and this is the result of twenty years marriage....!!! ! !!
