Play!

When the children were small, we used to take them to a local wood to walk and play.

Hannah and I revisited this old haunt last spring at the beginning of May.

As it was midweek, the woods were almost empty, so she had a great time in the playground without any children there!

Again I used old woodland themed papers for the layout. Glad to get these silly photos into her album.

Bluebell Woods

I took Hannah to the local bluebell woods in full flower after a long winter last year.

As ever, I took many photos including this selfie of the two of us.

Very old stash used to make the page, with an ideal woodland theme.

The fox was cut from the patterned papers.

Waterfalls

If you remember reading this post from last year we had a fabulous time in Wales visiting the Rheidol gorge to see the beautiful waterfalls.

This is one of the layouts I found under the stairs whilst putting away my Christmas stash.  I'd forgotten how lovely the photos are!

Again I used the Simple Stories Say Cheese range; the cardstock is by Tim Holtz.

Remember Wales?

I cleared away my festive stash to under the stairs for another few months.  Under there I discovered a bag with my photos in and stash from the last crop I attended in 2015.

Imagine my surprise in finding a couple of completed layouts I had completely forgotten about- they were the product of that final crop!

Both pages are about our visit last October to Wales.  this page is about the beautiful Autumn colour in the Rheidol valley near Aberystwyth.

I used the Simple Stories Say Cheese stash to make the page..still quite a lot of this to use up!

So Close...

.. only a day or so to go until the end of term, just hope the weather holds until we get to the south coast.

Another page from a walk taken back in June in the local wildlife park. Here are the photos taken that evening, and I thought these of the swan and her cygnets deserved a page all to themselves!

The doilies are from a 12" border die, the challenge was to use bright colours.

So out came the bright blue  mist and a few red splatters, the papers are from a children's set hence the dazzling palette.

Butterflies in 3 sizes are courtesy of the fabulous XCut palm punches, I still use these almost every time I make a layout.
